Trade 1: Pant comes home, Kuldeep to Lucknow

  • Pant returns to the franchise where he spent nine seasons (2016 to 2024) and made 111 appearances, the most by any DC player, according to the IPL's statement.
  • His fee falls from the record 27 crore LSG paid at the IPL 2025 auction to 15 crore, a cut of 12 crore.
  • Kuldeep Yadav, who took 72 wickets in 65 matches for DC since 2022, joins LSG at his existing fee of 13.5 crore.
  • Purse effect (based on the reported fees): Delhi take on 1.5 crore more in salary, and Lucknow free up the same amount.

Trade 2: Natarajan back at Sunrisers

  • T Natarajan returns to Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he took 19 wickets in IPL 2024, the most for SRH that season. He moves at a revised fee of 5 crore, down from the 10.75 crore Delhi paid at the IPL 2025 auction.
  • Leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari goes to Delhi at his existing fee of 40 lakh. He has 6 IPL wickets in 10 matches.
  • Purse effect, as reported: Delhi gain 10.35 crore; Sunrisers lose 4.6 crore.

Former India opener Aakash Chopra questioned Delhi's trading, arguing that Lucknow and Sunrisers got the better of the two deals.

Rumours, not deals

These have been reported or speculated but not confirmed:

  • Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians): linked in reports with CSK, KKR, DC, RR, LSG and GT. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has denied any talks. Reports say Mumbai are in no hurry.
  • Sam Curran: a possible RR to RCB swap involving Romario Shepherd.
  • Abhishek Sharma: reported interest from several teams.

Treat any trade as real only when the IPL or the franchises announce it.

How the trade window works

  • Teams can swap players or buy players for cash from each other.
  • A player's fee can be revised as part of a trade, as with Pant and Natarajan.
  • The window closes about a week before the auction and reopens about a week after it, according to reports.
