Why 12:30 PM and not 1:30 PM?
Some fixture lists show the T20Is at 1:30 PM IST and the ODIs at 6:30 AM IST. Those times use the wrong gap. New Zealand switched to daylight saving time (UTC+13) in late September, which puts it 7 hours 30 minutes ahead of India (UTC+5:30), not 6 hours 30 minutes. So:
- 8:00 PM in New Zealand is 12:30 PM IST (T20Is)
- 3:00 PM in New Zealand is 7:30 AM IST (ODIs)
- 11:00 AM in New Zealand is 3:30 AM IST (Tests)
Broadcast timings can change, so check the Sony listing on match day.
Where to watch in India
- TV: Sony Sports Network channels.
- Online: the SonyLIV app and website (subscription needed for live matches).
- Why Sony: Sony Pictures Networks India bought the TV and digital rights to all cricket played in New Zealand for seven years, from 1 May 2024 to 30 April 2031, so it is Sony, not JioHotstar, for this tour.
