PM Kisan 24th Instalment 2026: Expected Date, How to Check Status and Why Your 2,000 Rupees May Not Come, Explained
The 24th PM-KISAN instalment of 2,000 rupees is due for the August to November 2026 period, but the government has not announced a date yet. Here is what is officially known, why October is the expected window, how to check your beneficiary status, and the e-KYC, land and bank checks that most often stop payments.
More than 9 crore farmers are waiting for the next ₹2,000 under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN). The 24th instalment, for the August to November 2026 period, has not been announced yet. Here is what is actually known, how to check whether you will get it, and how to fix the problems that most often hold payments back.
The 60-second version
- Amount: ₹2,000 per eligible farmer family.
- Date: Not announced as of 17 October 2026. Reports expect it around October or November 2026.
- Last instalment: The 23rd, on 20 June 2026, from Tarakeswar, West Bengal: about ₹18,880 crore to 9.44 crore farmers.
- Must-haves: e-KYC done, land records seeded, and a bank account linked with Aadhaar for DBT.
- Beware: Fixed dates and "bonus" amounts on social media are not official until the government announces them.
When will the 24th instalment come?
PM-KISAN pays three instalments a year, one in each four-month period: April to July, August to November and December to March. The 24th instalment belongs to the August to November 2026 period, so it should be paid by the end of November.
| Instalment | Release date | Place | Amount transferred |
|---|---|---|---|
| 22nd | 13 March 2026 | Guwahati, Assam | About ₹18,640 crore to about 9.32 crore farmers |
| 23rd | 20 June 2026 | Tarakeswar, West Bengal | About ₹18,880 crore to over 9.44 crore farmers |
| 24th | Not announced | Not announced | ₹2,000 per farmer |
Since the 23rd instalment was paid on 20 June, the usual gap of about four months points to October. Some media reports have mentioned 20 October, but there has been no official confirmation. The release is normally announced a few days in advance by the Ministry of Agriculture or through a PIB press release, and is usually made by the Prime Minister at a public event.

| Problem | What it means | How to fix it |

| Land acquired after 1 February 2019 | Some such cases are held for verification | Follow up with the state verification office |
| Farmer ID not created | Several states now ask for a Farmer ID under the AgriStack digital agriculture system, especially for new registrations | Register through your state's Farmer Registry or a CSC |

- Do not click links in SMS or WhatsApp messages promising faster payment. Use only pmkisan.gov.in or the official app.
